This was a bit of an unfortunate holiday, as my ankle prevented me doing any hiking after the first day. I would really like to do the Peak District again when my ankle is better.

15 July 1999 Totley, Castleton

• 15 mile walk
• 8 miles into the walk my ankle started hurting.
• Eyam YHA - left a Tupperware jug containing Soya milk in the fridge.

16 July 1999 Castleton

• Castleton YHA
• Peveril Castle
• Hope
• Derwent Valley bicycle hire to book bikes for tomorrow.
• Slid down a steep hip on my windbreaker - Excellent!

17 July 1999 Derwent Valley

• Chemist in Sheffield for anti-inflammatory cream for ankle.
• Cycled around Derwent Valley Reservoir.
• Edale YHA

18 July 1999 Hathersage (plague town)

• Plague musuem (how morbid).
• English Heritage house.
• Decided to call off the rest of the holiday, as my ankle was too sore and it was costing more than we budgeted for, as we had just planned on hiking.
• Stopped off at Eyam to collect the jug on the way home..
